Christ Church Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI)
Driving Directions / Travel by Car

(Bridgetown, Christ Church, Barbados)

Serving the Caribbean island of Barbados, Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) also acts as an air transportation hub for the eastern and southern islands of the Caribbean. The airport is reached directly via its own exit off the ABC highway and is located just a 30-minute drive to the south-east of Bridgetown.

Standing on the south-eastern side of Christ Church, the busy complex of Grantley Adams Airport lies directly north of Seaview, Callendar and Ealing Grove. Also nearby and to the south-west are Gibbons, Hopewell, Oistins and Pegwell, while to the north you will find Fairview, Mangrove and Yorkshire.

Prominent resorts close to Barbados's airport include Eastbourne and The Crane, both of which can be found on the island's scenic south-eastern coast, between Paragon and Marley Vale.

Directions to Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) from Bridgetown:

  • Take ABC highway south-east
  • Take the BGI airport exit and follow the signs to the terminal building

Barbados can be quite crowded during the popular holiday seasons and the main highway and scenic routes often become congested with vacationers, so it is wise to leave yourself plenty of time to reach the airport.
